Coffee Cake
This is an old recipe from Eric's family. It originally called for shortening and buttermilk; we've adapted it to use real butter and plain yogurt instead, as a far more natural and healthy alternative. It tastes better this way, too.

Ingredients:
preheat oven to 375 F

2 cups
3/4 cup
2 tsp
1/2 tsp
1/2 tsp
1/2 tsp
1 cup

Flour, sifted
Brown sugar
Butter
Baking powder
Baking soda
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
Plain yogurt
Eggs, beaten

DIRECTIONS:
• Mix flour, sugar, and butter until crumbly. Set aside ½ cup.
• Add other dry ingredients to remainder and mix well.
• Add milk, yogurt, and eggs, again mixing well.
• Pour mixture into two round, greased baking pans.
• Sprinkle reserved crumbs evenly over the top.
• Bake for 25-30 minutes until sides brown and knife comes out clean.
